Back on My Bullshit

Just like the Earth revolving around the sun once a year, I make my way back to an existing blog I’ve made or create a whole new one.

Well here we are again.

A lot has changed since time past, I moved to Portland with my (then) fiance’, started working a new job, got married to the love of my life, survived the pandemic (so far), quit said job, and have now started a brand new job working from home.

and oh yeah, I did finish Silent Hill back when, I just never got around to writing about it. (More on that in a moment)

The main reason I stopped writing here was plain and simple, Life. Moving to another city, the woes of trying to find a job and not getting any bites in two months weighed very heavily. Meanwhile this was going on I was still doing Limited Edition with Jake & Mike, and living at my soon-to-be parent-in-law’s. To say my self esteem was an all time low would be an understatement. But we got through it. Working at a new job that gradually got worse and worse and all the more stressful during the Pandemic gave life way too much stress to deal with.

From the end of 2019 I’ve also been working with the SixOneIndie crew, hanging out on the podcast from time to time, and writing pieces for the website. We’ve grown from a small, rushed dream to a good sized fantastic crew of humans. I love hanging out with everyone when I can, and taking on a game to review as well when time allows for it.

As luck, and hard work would happen, I finally was able to ditch my stress-inducing job of almost three years and landed a four-day workweek work from home gig, leaving me open to be able to focus on my health, and get side projects done finally.

I’ve returned to the Cave of Wonderful Disappointments for the fourth/fifth time in my life (twice here, twice/thrice before at my old Wordpress blog), to have a fun outlet to discuss anything and everything, which brings us back around to Silent Hill.

So yes, it is my intention to bring back, and actually follow through with the original promise of Retro Tuesday here at the cave, starting with, and finally discussing 1999’s Silent Hill for the PlayStation 1. So I’ll see you all back here in two days, to finally talk about one of the most important Horror video games ever made, and the one that should be talked about more than the sequel..
